The Town of Brookhaven Baseball Program will be instituting pitch count regulations for ages 8u-18u in all our leagues and tournaments, begining with our 2017 Pre-Season Classic. The goal of enforcing a pitch count program, which is now being instituted at the High School and Middle School level nation wide, is to be proactive in reducing the number of arm injuries that have become far too common in all levels of baseball. As a program, TOB has a live game application to (Point Streak) in place to score games and keep accurate pitch counts.
The guidelines used will be from the Pitch Smart USA program.
